Baltic Energy Conservation Agency is involved in European Project focused on supportive measuries for development of European Pellet market. The project is the implementation of European Community ALTENER programme supporting RES development, which should be doubled in the year 2010 in total energy consumption.

The project is especially devoted to:
• Implementation and accompanying activities of EU , Poland and specially Baltic States, Czech Republic and Hungary RES potential development,
• Promotion of products and RES equipment harmonization,
• Supporting of infrastructure development and improving co - operation on international, European, national, regional and local level,
• Increasing electricity production based on RES.

The so called European Pellet Center will be established in the frame of this project.
The aim of the Centre is promotion of biomass pellet as to raw material potential pellet production capacity and pellet utilization. It will also stimulate R&D activities in this field. So the Centre will perform a common platform for all parties active in the European pellet market. The Centre will be available by telephone hotline and web page www.pelletcentre.info.
Therefore the Baltic Energy Conservation Agency invites you for co - operation in the filed of country data collection on pellets.
On the other hand we would like to offer you an access to any materials, analysis and information concering seminars, workshops and conferences on bioenergy prepared in the frame of the project.
